A day in the life of a Fenland response officer |
||
Dear Resident,
We always say that no two days are ever the same in the world of policing, and that is certainly true for our response officers.
Here is what they got up to in Fenland over a 24-hour period…
The day started off with one of their first calls being reports of a break in at a landfill site in March after staff had been alerted to someone on the property through CCTV. Officers attended and did a search of the area, but there was no one hiding and no offences identified.
They were also called to a collision between two cars and a van on the A47 between Wisbech and Guyhirn. Fortunately, no injuries were reported and there were delays in the area whilst the vehicles were recovered.
Later, they were called to Norfolk Street in Wisbech due to reports of a woman assaulting members of the public who were passing by. The 44-year-old woman ended up being arrested as she was showing as wanted on our systems!
Other calls they responded to included:
The final call of the day for our officers was reports of violence in North End, Wisbech. They attended and spoke to both individuals involved before taking the female home.
